Why is Bambi showing incorrect or mismatched addresses on trips?
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Bambi uses our map partner, HERE, for all address matching in Bambi. Every trip must have a valid pickup and dropoff address from the maps database.
Common Causes of Address Mismatches
Address mismatches typically occur when:
The street name is abbreviated differently than what is in the maps database (e.g., "E Hwy 9" vs. "East Highway 9").
The street name entered is not recognized by the maps database, usually because the street has multiple names (e.g. "E Hwy 9" and "State Highway 9").
The address does not exist in the maps database. This often happens with new construction.
For Broker-submitted Trips
When Bambi receives trip information from a broker, addresses are provided as plain text. Bambi validates that text against our maps database (provided by our map partner, HERE) to ensure all addresses are valid and can be found on the map.
Because there are many ways to abbreviate or format street names, an exact match is not always possible — so Bambi uses the closest match it can find in the database.
The "Review Pickup Address" / "Review Dropoff Address" Tag
When Bambi cannot find an exact match for a broker-provided address, it will automatically tag the trip with Review Pickup Address or Review Dropoff Address. This tag is a notification to let you know that the address could not be precisely matched and should be manually reviewed and corrected if needed.
The original address provided by the broker is saved in the Dispatcher Notes on the trip, so you can compare it against the address Bambi resolved and make an informed decision about whether a correction is needed.
What to Do
When you see a trip tagged with Review Pickup Address or Review Dropoff Address:
Check the Dispatcher Notes on the trip to see the original address provided by the broker.
Compare that to the pickup or dropoff address on the trip.
If needed, update the pickup or dropoff address on the trip and Save your changes.
If the address cannot be accurately matched in the address lookup, use Bambi's Geolocation feature to manually place an accurate map marker for the pickup or dropoff location, ensuring your driver is directed to the correct spot.
For non-Broker Trips
If a trip was created manually by your team or submitted via the Facility Portal or Trip Request Form on your website, you have to select a matching address from the address lookup field when creating the trip.
If there is no matching address, you can select a nearby address in the address field and then use the Geolocation feature to provide your driver with a specific point on the map where they should go.
If you would like to report a missing or incorrect address, you can find instructions here.
