New to Bambi? This guide walks you through the essential setup steps to get your NEMT operation up and running so you can Run Bambi Run. The video below gives a full account overview. Follow the checklist below to complete your account setup.
To get started using Bambi, you'll need to set up each of the following items in the order shown. The links below will show you how!
Basic setup for your Bambi account:
These settings are required to start using Bambi:
Set your HQ location.
Click the message in the yellow banner at the top of your Bambi dashboard, enter your headquarters address in Settings, and click Save.
Add your Fleet.
Add your vehicles and specify their capacity configurations. You'll need the VIN of each vehicle!
Add your Team.
Create their user accounts so your admins, dispatchers, drivers, and other staff can use Bambi too. You'll need each user's first and last name, phone number, and email address.
Create Payers.
Set up the facilities and brokers that pay for your trips. Don't forget a Self-Pay option if you have self-pay clients.
Customize your Settings.
Configure your organization defaults for trip routing, signatures, inspections, schedule timing, and more.
Next, you can configure advanced setup, or you can dive right in to dispatching trips.
Advanced configuration for your Bambi account:
Once you know the basics, you can dive into more advanced configuration:
Set up any required Broker integrations*.
Adjust organization settings to meet your needs.
Learn how to multi-load trips, allowing a vehicle to transport separate trips at the same time.
Configure trip pricing calculation, including tiered mileage pricing, if needed.
Bill your trips via invoice and enable online payments, if needed.
To start using Bambi to dispatch trips:
Complete all of the basic setup steps above.
Create a Crew Schedule.
Tell Bambi which vehicles are running on which days, and which Drivers and Attendants (if applicable) are assigned each one.
Add Trips to Bambi.
You can add trips individually, in bulk via csv file, or via a broker integration*.
Assign trips to your scheduled Drivers.
Make sure your Drivers have installed the Bambi Driver mobile app so they can keep the system updated as they perform trips during their shift.
Don't forget the Bambi Driver app:
Your drivers need the Bambi Driver app to access their assigned trips and update trip statuses. Head to our Bambi Driver Quick-Start Guide to download the app and see how it works.
If you would like to set up a broker integration, please reach out to our support team and provide a list of the brokers you work with that you would like to connect to your Bambi account.
