How to Unassign Trips from Dispatch
Last updated: March 27, 2026
Maintaining a clean and organized dispatch interface is crucial for an optimal visual and operational workflow. Whether you need to adjust a single route or completely reset a driver's daily schedule, the Bambi workspace provides two seamless methods to unassign trips and return them to your general queue.
Method 1: The Drag-and-Drop Approach (Single Trips)
If you only need to remove a specific trip from a driver's schedule, you can easily use the intuitive drag-and-drop functionality of the dispatch board.
Navigate to the main dispatch screen and locate the specific trip block within your driver's schedule column.
Click and hold the trip card.
Simply drag the trip block right back over to the unassigned trips queue on the left-hand side of your interface [00:12].
Method 2: The Bulk Unassign Feature (All Trips)
When larger operational shifts occur—such as a driver calling in sick or a vehicle breaking down—you may need to clear their entire board instantly to re-route your fleet.
On your dispatch screen, look at the top of the schedule column for the driver whose trips need to be cleared.
Click the three vertical dots (⋮) located right next to the driver's name to reveal the options menu [00:17].
Select Unassign all trips from the dropdown list.
The system will perform a clean sweep, automatically moving all of those scheduled trips back over to the left side of the screen [00:24].
With your unassigned queue instantly repopulated, you have a fresh visual slate to begin dispatching those trips further on to available drivers.
