Multi-load Signature Requirements: Driver App

When managing a multi-loaded trip with passengers sharing the same pickup and drop-off addresses, the Bambi Driver App provides convenient bulk action buttons (such as "Start trip for group" or "I'm at pickup for group") to help you update statuses quickly [00:17].

However, when payer requirements or organizational defaults mandate a passenger signature, you cannot process that specific status in bulk [00:27]. The system will enforce individual processing to ensure compliance. Follow this guide to seamlessly navigate signature requirements during multi-loads.

Step 1: Process Non-Signature Stops in Bulk

If your organization or payer only requires signatures at drop-off, you can still utilize bulk actions for the pickup portion of the trip [00:44].

  • Use the Start trip for group and I'm at pickup for group buttons to update the status for all multi-loaded passengers simultaneously [01:06].

  • Once passengers are securely loaded, tap Start transporting for group.

Step 2: Recognize the Signature Requirement

When you arrive at a stop where signatures are required (for example, the drop-off location), you will notice that the bulk status button for the next step automatically goes away [01:18].

  • This is an intentional security feature designed to prevent you from bypassing required signatures. Because the app needs to collect a unique signature for each passenger, bulk processing is temporarily paused [00:35].

Step 3: Collect Signatures Individually

Since the bulk action is disabled, you must process the passengers one at a time [01:26].

  • Select the first passenger on your manifest and update their status to At Dropoff.

  • The app will prompt you to collect their specific signature.

  • Have the passenger (or authorized facility employee) sign the screen, save the signature, and repeat this process for the remaining passengers in the multi-load group.

Step 4: Resume Bulk Processing to Finish the Trip

Once you have successfully collected and saved the required individual signatures for every passenger in the group, the system will recognize that the compliance requirements have been met.

  • The bulk action button will automatically reappear at the bottom of your screen [01:55].

  • You can now tap Finish trip for group to close out the assignment for everyone at once.
