Facility Portal Guide
Last updated: August 28, 2026
Bambi's Facility Portal gives nursing homes, dialysis centers, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities their own login to request and track rides directly with your team, without needing to call or email to do so. As the NEMT provider, you control which facilities have access and can accept or reject their trip requests before they enter your schedule.
For NEMT providers: Setting up a facility
Create a Payer for the facility
Each facility should have their own Payer. This is how you control what trips and passengers each facility can see through their Facility Portal. If you haven't already, create a Payer for the facility.
Create the facility's user account(s)
Go to Team > User Accounts and click Add a Member.
Select the user type: Facility Admin or Facility User.
Facility Users can request trips, view trips requested by their facility, and view passengers linked to their facility. Facility Admins can do all of the above as well as create additional Facility User accounts linked to their facility's Payer.
Enter the user's name, phone number, and email address.
In the Payer(s) field, select the facility Payers this user should have access to.
Click Save.
Bambi automatically sends an email invitation to the user, asking them to set their password and log in.
Accepting or rejecting facility trip requests
Facility trip requests appear in your dashboard with a "requested" status, and must be accepted or rejected before they can be performed. For more information, please seen our guide to managing trip requests.
When you accept or reject a trip, the facility sees the updated status in their portal in real time and the specific requester receives a notification of the acceptance or rejection.
For facility staff:
Logging in for the first time
Check your email for the Bambi invitation and click the link to set your password.
Log in at the Facility Portal URL provided by your NEMT provider.
Submitting a trip request
Log into the Facility Portal.
Click the Add Trip button in the top navigation menu.
Fill in the the trip details (required fields are marked with an *).
Be sure to select the correct Space Type and Service Type.
Submit the request.
The NEMT provider will receive the trip request and can accept or reject it. You will receive a notification letting you know when they have done so!
Tracking trips in the Facility Portal
Facility admins and users can view a real-time map showing the status and location of accepted trips, so they always know when a vehicle is arriving without needing to call dispatch.
