How to fix failed Verida claim submissions

Last updated: October 22, 2026

If your Bambi account is integrated with Verida, we automatically pull your Verida trips in to your Bambi dashboard and push the completed trip updates back. We also automatically submit those completed trips' claims via a secure FTP upload.

You can review the status of your Verida claim submissions by going to the Billing page in your Bambi dashboard, then clicking the Verida tab.

If a claim submission has failed, we'll show you the reason that Verida provided why they rejected that particular claim. Below, you'll find a list of the most common reasons and how to fix them.

Common Claim Errors

  • InvalidMissingOrInActiveVehicle

    • Issue: The VIN of the vehicle used for this trip does not match the VIN of the vehicle as it is configured in your Verida account, or the vehicle is inactive in Verida.

    • Fix: Make sure the VIN matches exactly in both Verida and Bambi, including capitalization and spaces, and that the vehicle is active in both.

  • InvalidOrMissingOrInactiveDriver

    • Issue: The driver's name or license number does not match a driver set up in your Verida account, or the driver is inactive in Verida.

    • Fix: Make sure the driver's first and last name and their license number matches exactly in both Verida and Bambi, including capitalization and spaces, and that the driver is active in both.

  • InvalidOdometerReading

    • Issue: We send two odometer readings on each completed trip: one collected when the driver changed the trip status to "at pickup", and the other when they changed the status to "at dropoff". We pull these readings automatically from the phone/device where the driver makes the status change. If those readings don't make sense to Verida, they will reject the claim.

    • Fix: Manually adjust the trip's mileage/odometer data in the Verida portal.

    • If this issue continues to persist, you can require your drivers to manually enter the vehicle's odometer reading on each trip instead of using the automated reading. Find this under Settings > Odometer Settings.

  • InvalidOrMissingPickUpDropOffDateTime

    • Issue: The trip is missing a status change or timestamp for "at pickup" or "at dropoff".

    • Fix: Manually update the trip data in the Verida portal.

  • InvalidOrMissingMemberSig

    • Issue: The trip is missing the passenger's signature.

    • Fix: Manually update the trip data in the Verida portal.

  • InvalidOrMissingPuLatLong

    • Issue: The trip is missing the GPS data for the "at pickup" status change.

    • Fix: Manually update the trip data in the Verida portal.

  • InvalidOrMissingDoLatLong

    • Issue: The trip is missing the GPS data for the "at dropoff" status change.

    • Fix: Manually update the trip data in the Verida portal.

How to resubmit Verida claims

If the issue on a failed claim is something that you needed to fix in Bambi, such as the invalid driver or invalid vehicle errors, we'll automatically attempt to re-submit that claim in the next daily batch. You don't have to do anything extra.

If the issue requires you to manually update the trip in the Verida portal, you may need to manually resubmit the claim through their portal; your Verida rep will be able to assist you with this process.
