How to Require Vehicle Inspections

Last updated: March 27, 2026

Maintaining fleet safety and operational compliance is critical in non-emergency medical transportation. By enforcing vehicle inspections, you ensure that your fleet is thoroughly checked before a driver hits the road and after their shift concludes.

Setting up mandatory vehicle inspections within your Bambi platform is a quick and straightforward process. Follow these beautifully simple steps to configure your inspection rules.

Step 1: Navigate to Organizational Settings

To begin customizing your fleet's requirements, log in to your primary administrative dashboard and access your Organizational Settings [00:00].

Step 2: Locate the Vehicle Inspections Section

Scroll through your organization settings menu. Right below your primary configurations, you will find the dedicated Vehicle Inspections section [00:08].

Step 3: Configure Your Inspection Rules

Within this section, you will see two specific checkbox options that control when the Bambi Driver App prompts your team for an inspection.

  • Require inspection before assignment: Check this box to ensure drivers complete an inspection before they are permitted to start taking trips [00:15].

  • Require inspection after the assignment: Check this box to force an end-of-shift inspection after they have completed their trips.

Step 4: Save and Enforce

Once you have selected both or either of these boxes, the system will immediately update your workflow rules. Your drivers will now be required to successfully complete and submit their vehicle inspection forms directly through their mobile app based on the parameters you just established [00:21].
