October 2026: What's New in Bambi
Last updated: November 2, 2026
In October, Bambi added vehicle reports, took more of the busywork out of broker billing, and made it quicker to find the trip or passenger you're looking for. This entry also covers a few features that shipped earlier but weren't in a previous What's New entry. Each one is listed with the month it went live.
Vehicle reports
You can now see how each vehicle in your fleet is performing. Go to Reports and open the Vehicles tab. For each vehicle, it shows Estimated Revenue, Estimated Loaded Miles, Trips Completed, and Trips Cancelled. You can filter by Date, Payer, Driver, or Vehicle, and click Download to export the report.
Billing tools for Modivcare and Verida
If you're integrated with Modivcare, you can now send ride receipts to Modivcare from a new screen under Billing. It lists your completed Modivcare trips. You can price trips and send them in bulk or one row at a time, and a trip can't be sent twice. Bambi also prices new Modivcare trips automatically when they're created without a price, as long as the Modivcare payer has a pricing scheme. Modivcare doesn't send a confirmation back, so check payment status in your Modivcare portal after you send.
If you bill Verida through Bambi, you can now open the results of each Verida billing upload and see the exact error Verida returned for any trip that failed.
Also this month
Finding trips: the new Trips deleted at filter shows only deleted trips, so you don't have to turn on Include deleted trips first. Trip search now starts at three characters, which makes results come back faster.
Finding passengers: you can search by a passenger's EMR number on the Passengers page, the Trips page, and the add-a-trip and trip subscription forms. The EMR number also appears in the passenger grid and the trip's passenger popover.
Passenger tags: you can view and filter by passenger tags on the Trips page, and every tag picker now has a search box.
Crew schedules on Dispatch: on the Dispatch board, each crew schedule's column header now shows a popover with the driver's phone number, the vehicle, and that schedule's trip count, revenue, and loaded and unloaded miles. Click the header to expand the column.
SMS Settings: the SMS Settings tab has been rewritten with clearer names for each text message, such as When Driver is Near Pickup, Day Before the Trip, and When Trip Gets Canceled.
Space types on add a trip forms: you can choose which space types appear on the add-a-trip and trip subscription forms, and set the default.
Facility notifications: trip accepted and rejected notifications for the facility portal now go only to the person who requested the trip. Admins can turn this notification off by role in notification settings. The email link also opens the right organization.
SMS / Text message records: the message entry in a trip's summary now shows the phone number the text was sent to.
Appointment lateness: a new Appointment Dropoff Deadline setting sets how early a passenger must be dropped off before their appointment for the trip to count as on time. You'll find it just below the early arrival buffer. It applies to your whole organization, and you can override it for any payer. It starts at 0, and MTM integration payers start at 15 minutes to match MTM's rule.
Odometer by payer: odometer prompts can now be set per payer, and manual odometer entry is required for Verida trips.
Invoices: you can include pickup and dropoff address details when you generate an invoice PDF.
Route templates: you can set before and after buffers in bulk for trip matchers, both when you create a route template and on an existing one.
