Bambi: NEMT Driver Mobile App Quick-Start Guide

The Bambi: NEMT Driver App is the mobile companion drivers use to manage their entire shift - clocking in and out, completing vehicle inspections, accessing and updating their assigned trips, collecting signatures, and more.

For Android users, click here or search the Google Play Store for "Bambi NEMT Driver".
For iOS / iPhone users, click here to view the correct page in the App Store and install the app securely. The page is hidden from App Store search, so you must use the link to ensure you are downloading the correct app.

To log in to the Bambi driver app:

  1. Open the Bambi driver app on your device.

  2. Enter the email address used to create your account and your password.

  3. Tap Login.

App Tabs Overview

  • Dashboard — Provides a summary of your current shift: trip count, passenger details, and assigned vehicle.

  • Active — Shows only the current trip in progress. This is the tab where you will start, update, and complete the trip.

  • Schedule — View upcoming trips and scheduled shifts.

  • Settings — Choose your preferred maps app (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze) and set your Quick Action Button to easily contact Dispatch.

To clock in and start your shift:

  1. Tap Start Shift on the Dashboard tab. Allow location permissions when prompted. Location is required for accurate trip timing and signature verification. Be sure to allow "all the time" access or the app may not work properly.

  2. Confirm your assigned vehicle.

  3. Complete the Vehicle Assessment: review the safety checklist, record odometer reading and fuel level, and note any issues.

  4. Review your trip assignments for the day.

  5. Sign the Driver Signature to clock in and confirm your assessment.

To perform a trip:

  1. On the Active tab, tap Start Trip. The trip status changes to "en route".

  2. Tap the pickup address to launch your maps app of choice.

  3. Tap I'm at Pickup when you arrive. The trip status changes to "at pickup".

  4. Verify the passenger's identity and load them safely.

  5. Tap Start Transporting and collect the passenger's signature if required (or tap Skip Signature if not required). The trip status changes to "transporting".

  6. Tap the drop-off address to launch your maps app and navigate to their destination.

  7. Tap I'm at Dropoff when you arrive. The trip status changes to "at dropoff".

  8. Safely assist the passenger out of the vehicle.

  9. Tap Finish Trip and sign to confirm completion. The trip status changes to "complete".

You can now start your next trip, which automatically displays on the Active tab. If you do not have any more assigned trips for the day, the app will prompt you to end your shift.

To take a break:

When a break is available, it will appear at the top of the app. Tap Start Break to clock out for your break, and End Break to clock back in.

To clock out and end your shift:

  1. After your last trip, tap Finish Shift on the Active tab.

  2. Complete the end-of-shift Vehicle Assessment, if required.

  3. Review your completed trips summary.

  4. Sign the Driver Signature to clock out. Your exact clock-out time and location are recorded.
